Sharon first demonstrates sketching the feather with paper and pencil. She walks you through her thoughts on designing this feather and the stitch pathing needed to really make it come to life.
After transferring the design to fabric with a chalk pencil, Sharon mounted it on her longarm and quilts the feather in wonderful detail. (Transferring with chalk pencil and mounting not shown on video)
This technique works equally well on a domestic machine as it does on a longarm.
